What’s better than providing a clean community for your family and neighbors? Providing a clean community environment while helping out a local charity at the same time!

“Don’t Trash Where You Splash”

Uvalde County has partnered with HEB and the Central Market Keep Texas Waterways Clean Program to help keep our state’s historic waterways clean of trash. Through September, when you and your friends volunteer to clean a section of the Frio, Sabinal, and Nueces Rivers, ten dollars for every person and every hour will be donated to a charity of your choice!  Plus, you will have access to discounted lodging while you work!

“The Texas Hill Country River Region and Uvalde County invite you to participate in a Keep Texas Waterways Clean Volunteer Program. We are looking for groups of over 6 people to sign up to clean a section of the Frio, Nueces, and Sabinal Rivers. Uvalde County will award groups $10 per person, per hour of cleanup, to the charity of their choice, and also be entered into a drawing for a bonus $500 for that charity, to be drawn at the end of the summer.”

Over the past few years, this program has collected more than 5,000 pounds of trash and raised over $15,000 for charity!

Volunteer today at  Keep our waterways clean … and help a great cause, too!
